Overview : 

  • The nursery “Kita im Weiherwald” is located close to the forest and the city.
  • He looked after 42 children aged between 1 and 6. The uniqueness of this center is that it includes both disabled and non-disabled children.
  • We need volunteers who enjoy working with children, including those with disabilities.
  • At the center, children are provided with services according to their abilities.
  • There are fun activities such as art, sports, experiments, drama. Lunch and snacks.
  • Volunteers will assist teachers, help clean and be part of a professional environment.

  • Accommodation: You will live in a spacious house with six other ESC volunteers from around the world.

  • Support: You will receive approximately 160 euros in pocket money and 288 euros in food expenses per month.
  • Transportation: You will receive a free card for public transport throughout the region for the duration of the project.
  • Training: You will attend two trainings, one for 5 days and the other for 7 days.
  • These meetings are organized by national organizations and allow you to meet ESC volunteers in Germany.
  • You can share your experiences, discuss the main ideas behind the European Solidarity Corps and learn from each other.
  • These meetings are held in many cities in Germany.
  • Other courses: You can choose from a variety of courses such as Becoming a Youth Leader, 6 weeks of German language training and first aid, rock climbing and life preservation.
  • These courses help you gain skills in working with children and young people while volunteering and working for the future.

Requirements:

  1. Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Educational Interest: Should have an interest in educational work.
  3. Inclusion and Disability: Interested in the concepts of inclusion and working with children with disabilities.
  4. Language Skills: Some knowledge of English is necessary. Basic skills in German would be useful but are not mondatory.
  5. Pedagogical Background: Having a small pedagogical background is preferred.
  6. Cultural Openness: Open to getting to know Germany and German culture while embracing an international environment.
