Brief Job Description
Operations:
Finance & Accounts:
o Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, forecasting, budgeting etc.
o Ensure the accurate and timely processing of rental payment and renew the license on time to time without any penalties.
o Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
o Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
o The Chief Accountant supervises the staff (Accounting assistant, Controller) and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Controlling:
o Ensure the monthly BRS and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
o Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
o Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Liaising:
o Co-ordinate with various Management teams to accomplish the required tasks which requires strong understanding of business and communication skill set.
o Collaborates with the other department managers/ Area Managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
o Responds to inquiries from the General Manager, the Group FM and Group General Manager and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests
General:
o This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities
o Assist the Team in the daily requirements.
o Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advice on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
REPORTING AND ANALYTICAL:
o Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
o Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close.
o Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
o Supports budget and forecasting activities to FM.
o Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
o Assist in development and implementation of new system changes whenever required.
o Work on special projects, reports, feasibilities as and when requirement arises.
STATUTORY (VAT):
o Assist FM in filing VAT returns for various entities within the group.
o Documentation management for VAT related audits by FTA when initiated.
