Job Description :
- The Company are looking for energetic, positive individuals to work as tutors we call Clinicians, in a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center
- They teach students of all ages to read and comprehend to their potential
- Prior teaching experience is not required.
- Instruction is performed at a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center located in New York, NY.
- This is not a remote position.
- We provide paid training in the programs used by Lindamood-Bell.
- Required hours during the paid training are generally 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for two weeks.
- Following the training, as a part-time employee, you will generally be scheduled less than 30 hours per week according to the instructional needs of the Learning Center.
- This position requires Monday – Friday availability.
- All necessary technical equipment and program materials will be provided.
- Internship credits may be available.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for assisting individuals in reaching their full potential.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to optimize learning outcomes in a cheerful and authentic manner.
- Exhibit excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension abilities.
- Possess basic computer skills and the capability to take notes on student performance while conducting interactive sessions.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred. However, an associate’s degree, certification in Early Childhood Education, or active pursuit of a degree is also acceptable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized instruction to individuals or small groups, either in-person or through online platforms, following prescribed lesson plans as directed by Learning Center leadership.
- Support the implementation of the curriculum designed for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
- Foster a safe and constructive learning environment by maintaining positive and professional interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Utilize computer systems to effectively manage and maintain electronic client records.
Hourly Rate:
- The compensation for this position is $23 per hour.
