- Our team at the Nutrition Epidemiology and Big Data Analytics Laboratory (NEBA) at the University of British Columbia is now offering undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to participate in the CIHR-funded research program. Our team provides evidence-based health research and lifestyle or health policy decision making. This document is intended for a wide range of stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, educators, and the general public.
- The overall aim of this study was to estimate and estimate Canadians’ burden of cardiovascular disease and healthcare utilization (bed days and costs) using lifestyle factors as important (and in different models).

Requirements :
- Graduating from a reputable university in the field of health such as epidemiology, health sciences, economics, mathematics, geography, psychology, sociology, demography or statistics. Specialization may also be achieved through a combination of education, training, and/or other experiences.
- Current experience in quantitative analysis using microdata such as research, statistics or data management health.
- Current experience as an expert in one of the following health fields:
- Population Health
- Nutrition Research Health
- Child Health and Development
- Chronic or Infectious Diseases
- Healthy Behaviors and Risks< br>
- Environmental assessment
- Health
- Nutrition
- Theoretical framework for recent applications An analysis From Statistics in your field of study.
- Recent experience using statistical analysis software (e.g. (SAS), STATA, R)
- Note: Recent experience is defined as what occurred approximately 2 years ago.
- Knowledge of the various data collection modes, methods and designs used, as well as their relative benefits and challenges
- Knowledge of advanced statistical theories, methods (including data gathering and analysis techniques), concepts and practices in order to plan and implement analytical research and modeling studies and to recommend and implement improvements to statistical programs.
Asset Qualifications:
- Experience* in SAS programming
- Experience* in using coding languages such as R and Python
- Experience* in microsimulation modelling
